On rootedness

Over at ClimateCultures – the site I set up and edit for artists, curators and researchers with a  creative interest in environmental and climate change – writer and artist Salli Hipkiss has posted The Riddle of the Trees: A Paean for the Natural World. In her earlier post – My Voice in the Climate Change Crisis – Salli explored her motivation for setting out to produce creative writing on climate change. In this follow on, she shares an extract from the manuscript, and looks further into the development of character and meaning and her inspiration to write this novel for the ‘We Generation’.
